Meet Rock Star!

Hello my name is Rock Star, I am a 26 year old Arabian gelding with a big personality. I have been with Crimson Terraine for over 3 years. As you can imagine at my age a little TLC can go a long way. I love to play out in the paddocks however on really cold or hot days Crimson Terraine will bring me in during the day for a bit - to either warm up or cool down. They also understand that on cold days I prefer to have warm water to drink. My favorite part is that Crimson Terraine will pop out to the barn during the winter evenings bring extra warm water – it’s like having a cup of tea before bed. Every week my owner and I go for a walking trail ride. I may be a bit older but I still love to get out and see what’s happening. Crimson Terraine also understands that these old bones can’t go to bed wet. Every night I am bushed and dried down and my feet are cleaned out –no ice balls – it’s like a mini spa.

Meet Samuel

Hello my name is Samuel, I am an 18 year old Arabian gelding and have been with Crimson Terraine for 4 years. I use to work for a living at a wonderful trail riding barn outside of Kingston, however as I got older the work was getting harder. The owner of Crimson Terraine had known me for many years so when I was starting to look for a retirement farm they were the perfect choice. I loved my job so I did not want to completely stop working however slowing down was best. Still to this day I ride with my owner between ½ an hour to 1 ½ hours 3 to 4 times a week. The trails are well maintained and so beautiful. I had a stifle injury a few years back however with the veterinary recommendation of a month off and the special care of Crimson Terraine I was back out on the trails again. I also love to meet the new people that come to the farm for the horsemanship classes. The children always have fun and they make sure that I am looking my best.
